After 30 years as a professional hairdresser, I've seen first-hand how important it is to choose ingredients that not only perform well but also feel beautiful to use every day. That's why every Studio 6 formula begins with a simple question: What role does each ingredient play?

I carefully select botanical ingredients, plant-based oils and mineral powders that work together to refresh, hydrate and nourish both the hair and scalp without unnecessary heaviness or buildup.

Every Studio 6 Haircare product is thoughtfully formulated from real salon experience and handcrafted in small batches in the Wairarapa, New Zealand. Every formula is vegan, silicone free and created with one goal in mind, to make caring for your hair and scalp feel simple, effective and enjoyable.

Rich in naturally occurring antioxidants, green tea extract is valued for its ability to help support overall scalp condition. Chosen for its role in everyday scalp care, it helps maintain a balanced, healthy-looking scalp and is a key botanical ingredient in our Hair & Scalp Mists.

aloe veraAloe Vera

A natural humectant, aloe vera is valued for its ability to provide lightweight hydration while helping leave the scalp feeling comfortable. Chosen for its role in everyday hair and scalp care, it delivers moisture without heaviness or buildup.

The Oils We Use

Our plant-based oils are carefully selected for their ability to nourish the hair without relying on silicones or heavy synthetic coatings.

Rather than choosing heavier oils that can leave the hair feeling weighed down, we combine grapeseed, jojoba, meadowfoam, abyssinian, daikon seed and coconut oils to help soften dry or coarse hair, smooth frizz and improve manageability while maintaining natural movement and natural-looking shine.

Plant & Mineral Powders

Arrowroot powder, tapioca starch and kaolin clay are chosen for their oil-absorbing properties, helping refresh the roots and restore a clean, lightweight feel between washes. Colloidal oat is included for its role in supporting scalp comfort, creating a more balanced botanical and mineral-based formula.
